Mission Statement
Our purpose is to offer support, advocacy and provide an outlet for certified producers selling directly to the public, promote food that is local, seasonal, and sustainably grown, preserve local food cultures and traditions, encourage and promote the art of home cooking, educate and engage the public about nutrition and the economic value of buying locally grown food and locally sourced products directly from growers and food artisan producers and any such other activities in support of this purpose.

In April of 2020 our group of Certified Growers and affiliated Food Producers established Vineyard Farmers Market 501(c) in order to face the continued challenges and obstacles of operating an independently owned Farmers Market in Fresno, California.
Our market is unique in many ways, but chief among them is our focus on locally grown produce. We believe a farmers market should reflect its greater community and operate with its customers health in mind. To this end our market offers a very limited amount of prepared food vendors, reserving the majority of our spaces for Certified Producers rather than unhealthy food items often found dominating many modern day farmers markets.
