June 16, 2010 – (Fresno, Calif.) Join the Vineyard Farmer’s Market on
the Northwest corner of Blackstone & Shaw Avenues for an extraordinary
food event: Peach. Peach. Peach. A Celebration of Flavor will
take place on July 3, 2010.
Peach season has arrived and with it a new reason to celebrate life and
it’s many bounties. Using white
and yellow peaches provided by Vineyard Farmers Market vendors Kozuki
Farms, six of our talented market chefs will create peach delights for
participants to savor as they enjoy the Latin influenced jazz sounds of
Espacio featuring Eva Scow on mandolin.
Market chefs include, Vatche Moukhtarian of Cracked Pepper Bistro,
Pino Borrelli of GiGi’s Cucina Italiana, Karsten Hart of Erna’s
Elderberry House, Scott Sauer of Max’s Bistro, and Mike Shackelford of
Trelio. New to the event this year is Chef Doug Wakida of Marian Farms.
Chef Wakida is interning at Gina Nonini’s local biodynamic Marian Farms
helping develop new products from her unique produce.
For the poetically inspired the Vineyard will host a Haiku contest at
the event with the winner receiving a case of fresh local peaches.
